No Permit!

How stupid to make "No Permit" as the headline and overarching excuse why the ill-fated ferry burned and sank deep into the sea on the way to Tioman Island last week. The focus shouldnt have been about the permit expiring at 3:41 pm on 5th April 1893 but rather...some overpaid officer has bummed up big time and should pay for his negligence. I said 'overpaid' because no matter how puny your pay is, when you do nothing except shake your legs, you become overpaid.

Let's admit it: the pussy is scared shit to admit his mistakes. People are dead because you do a stinking job. People become parentless because of you. This pointing middle finger at each other needs to stop...NOW! If you need to do it, at least do it with an ounce of dignity-lah...come up with a more credible excuse-- and coming up with "permit issues" ain't it.

I suppose if they have a valid permit, then all of these wont happen. A "permit" has the power to stop the ferry from catching fire. A "permit" can ensure the ferry to remain blissfully afloat throughout the journey. All the ferry needed was a permit--the rest will take care of itself. Bodoh. Tolol.

The facts, regardless of the permit, probably are:

Someone doesnt do, and probably never does, any check on any of the ferries that have been ploughing the deep waters between Mersing & Pulau Tioman;
Someone isn't even equipped with the right skill to perform checks on the ferries;
Someone is on the uptake to ensure ill-maintained ferries continue their route services so that the owning party earn big fat cash;
All these are very disturbing indeed because anyone of us can jolly well be that person(s) who become fatherless when it was supposed to be an enjoyable vacation for the family.

The victims should sue.
